Kyle Cavalieri is president of Avalon Cyber. Kyle is an IT security professional with 15 years of experience providing consultative services surrounding complex technology issues, information security management, cybersecurity, digital forensic incident response, expert testimony, and electronic discovery. He leads, manages, and provides guidance and focus to Avalon Cyber team members regarding engagement, our mission/vision/values, and sales and operational objectives. He also architects, develops, and implements all technology service offerings provided by Avalon Cyber, and develops sales, marketing, and measurable service plans for purposes of Avalon Cyber’s go-to-market strategy. Finally, Kyle is part of Avalon’s executive leadership team and is an integral piece of ensuring a high-level of technical excellence throughout Avalon and all related entities.
Prior to joining Avalon, Kyle was a senior information security professional with Integer, formally Greatbatch Medical. During his time at Integer, he became the lead information security architect for a number of critical information security initiatives including: the installation and deployment of whole disk encryption, multi-factor authentication technology, the development of Integer’s vulnerability management program, the cybersecurity incident response plan, security infrastructure configuration activities for acquired companies, and the development of the foundational policy and procedural elements for an effective data loss prevention program.
Kyle has a decade of professional cybersecurity and forensic consulting experience. Prior to Integer, he was the director of computer forensics and investigations at DIGITS, LLC where he oversaw all digital forensic, investigative, and technical consulting services. He was an integral component to DIGITS’ digital investigative services involving complex, high-profile investigations, computer and network intrusions, theft of intellectual property, financial fraud, whistleblower allegations, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) violations. He has provided hundreds of expert reports for cases pending before state, federal, and international tribunals. Kyle also has qualified as an expert in computer forensics and as an electronic discovery practitioner within the New York State court system.
Kyle is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) through (ISC)2, and a Certified Computer Examiner (CCE) through the International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners. He is also an EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) through Guidance Software. Kyle is a current member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), (ISC)2, and the International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners (ISFCE). He holds a bachelor of science degree from Hilbert College where he concentrated in computer security.
